Paris & Europe

A milestone anniversary in Italy, with an upgrade at every stop.

Paris & Europe

How I plan
Europe

Paris shopping without the lines. The Amalfi Coast without the crowds. I know Europe the way only someone who's lived it can — the hidden courtyards, boutique stays, and tables worth booking weeks in advance.

Getting there
Business class from Philadelphia

A couple wanted to celebrate a milestone anniversary, so I planned them a classic Italian journey done properly: Rome, Florence and the Amalfi Coast, starting with business class from Philadelphia to Rome, with lounge access.

Every leg was arranged so they never had to think about logistics — private drivers at every arrival, first-class trains between cities — and every hotel made it special, with complimentary upgrades and Prosecco and cake in the room at every stop.

The journey

  1. 3 days

    Rome

Picked up by private car on arrival and taken to the Rocco Forte Hotel de Russie in the center of the city. Private tours of the Vatican and the Colosseum, and incredible meals. Three days in Rome could not be beat.

  2. 3 days

    Florence & Tuscany

A first-class train from Rome to Florence, enjoying the beautiful scenery on the way. Three days wandering the Ponte Vecchio, seeing the incredible artwork all throughout the city, and enjoying the food and wine — plus a day in Tuscany with a private driver, visiting Antinori nel Chianti Classico for wine tastings and a leisurely lunch.

  3. Travel day

    Florence to Sorrento, via Pompeii

A first-class train from Florence to Naples, where a private driver was waiting to take them on to Sorrento. I never want a travel day to feel like a lost day, so after three hours on the train we broke up the journey with lunch, a chance to stretch their legs, and a guided tour of Pompeii along the way.

  4. 6 nights

    Sorrento & the Amalfi Coast

Sorrento made the perfect home base: less crowded, bigger, with more to do, and easy access to the Amalfi Coast towns of Positano, Ravello and Amalfi itself. The icing on the cake for their anniversary was a curated private boat day through the grottos with one of my preferred partners.

The perks

I don't know where to begin to thank you for the time of our lives! If it was not for you this trip would not have been our dream trip. Every single thing that we did, everywhere we stayed, the flights, trains, tours, locations and our drivers were fabulous! The pasta and wine were amazing — everywhere we ate, we loved. Thanks to you for all the lovely perks: we had complimentary champagne at every hotel and a cake, and credit for food and laundry.
